Information for Sellers

Pricing

Alma Mater works on a simple commission model where a fee of 15% (includes a 3% transaction fee) is deducted from the proceeds of each sale. There are no other ongoing costs or fees associated with listing your products for sale on our website.

Note: Commission fees may be less depending on your agreement with Alma Mater.

Listings

You, the Seller, are responsible for your listings. For this reason, please take care to describe the listed products accurately, and double check that all pricing, quantities and other specifications are correct as listed.

Specifically: There is no minimum or maximum number of products you can list on Alma Mater; however, each product must be officially licensed meaning that you, the Seller, has the appropriate license with the university, college or relevant entities to sell the listed products.

Note: You, the seller, must be able to present the license if requested by Alma Mater. Failure to present the license will result in products with the university's logo being removed from the Alma Mater website.

  1. All Sellers must register via our Vendor Portal or connect with Alma Mater via Shopify Collective.
  2. Provide as much detail as possible for your listing including images and descriptions.
  3. Ensure you have sufficient stock on hand to ship the product to avoid delays in dispatch. Alma Mater will show the item as unavailable if inventory is zero.
  4. Prices should be in United States Dollar (USD).
  5. Add any specific warranty information to your listings.
  6. Add any specific exchange or refund information to your listings. Alma Mater offers customers a 30 day return policy by default. All requests for refunds, returns or exchanges will start with a request to support@alamamateru.com initiated by the Buyer. Alma Mater staff will reach out to you, the Seller, with further details.
  7. You can cancel and delete any listings as necessary.
  8. You are allowed to offer discounted sales at any time. Please reach out to mike@almamateru.com to assist with the promotion of these sales.
  9. Alma Mater will work with you, the Seller, to discuss site-wide sales and discounts. Sellers have the right to exclude their products from these sales.

Shipping Process and Timings

You, the Seller, are responsible for shipping your products to the Buyer. You, the Seller, will set your own shipping rates for your products. Alma Mater will pay you, the Seller, the entire amount of the shipping cost.

Alma Mater will notify you via email in real time as soon as you make a sale and expect orders to be processed by you, the Seller, within 2 – 7 business days of receiving your order. The Seller will provide the shipping label. The order confirmation email will include purchaser details such as name, contact number, delivery address, as well as any delivery notes you may need.

A trackable or signed-for delivery service will be used when shipping goods. When you fulfill your order, a tracking number should be provided to the Buyer so that they can track the delivery of the order.

Sales Proceeds

All sales proceeds (less the standard commission) will be transferred automatically to your nominated PayPal account on a weekly basis (Sunday).

You will be asked to verify your account details as part of the sign up process.
